Wat kind of flowers n seeds can i plant to attract nice complimets n birds?
In my garden I try to use as many native flowers %26amp; plants to my state %26amp; region. The birds, butterflies %26amp; hummers love 'em. Try some plain old fashioned flowers like zinnias, petunias, marigolds, sunflowers, 4 oclocks, lantana. The finches love the zinnias %26amp; sunflowers. The hummingbirds love the 4 oclocks %26amp; petunias. The butterflies like the lantana. With all the lovely colors in your yard, you will have lots of great compliments too.
Reply:to attract birds try sunflowers and trumpet vine
Reply:Look for a plant called LANTANA (check the spelling).
Once the hummingbirds find out that you have this plant, you won't be able to keep them away.
CAUTION: the LANTANA requires lots and lots of water...everyday...several times a day...everyday...often!
Reply:Plant Zinnias, Cosmos, salvia--anything that offers a nice flower in your area.
telephone you local agriculture extension service agent for advice. Each county usually has an extension agent, listed inphone book in Gov section.
Reply:First how are you living in Iowa and not able to write plain simple English? See the spell check in the corner just above this line.
I know you're trying to be "cute" in your Abbreviated use of words but it looks dumb. I'd say buy plastic flowers and devote more time to an education.
Reply:Purple Fountain Grass will attract a variety of sparrow type birds.
Reply:honey-suckles
Reply:It's too late to start for this unless you can find a seedling or plant, but Sunflowers are good. Birds keep coming back for seeds. You can also place bird feeder outside of your house, somewhere protective and shady.
Reply:Petunias
