yes you will get fruit ive been doing it for years you can take and dry the seeds of tomato aburgine peppers marrow courgette pumpkin butternut squash in fact any veg with seeds i,ve even grown melons most varietys if you want to have a go email me and i,ll tell you how
Reply:you can plant anything that has seeds, including lemons
Reply:Parsley , carrot, celery, onion, chives, salsify, radish, lettuce all will give a nice flower if left to grow on instead of harvesting them Some are biennial, that is they grow in the first year and flower to produce seed in the next year. Another nice flower is from the fennel plant and the rhubarb. And of course, there is the ornamental cabbage. Asparagus, when it is allowed to shoot, also has lovely leaves which can be used in flower arrangements.
Reply:It depends on what part of this earth where you going to plant. In the tropical climate where I'm staying, we plant durian, mango, rambutan, my advice is go to the market and buy fruits, any kind of fruit. eat the fruit, and plant the seed.
Reply:Whatever you pick, make sure they're HEIRLOOMS, instead of hybrids. Or they may not give you what you started with...
Reply:cut the top off a pineapple and put in a pot. i've done this and now have a really nice houseplant.
Reply:Seeds are how some plants propagate themselves. Some seeds are easier to grow than others. Some plants that do produce seeds are easier to propagate by cuttings or other methods.

Sorry, but this is much to broad a question to be answered properly here. Pick a plant and research it.

Reply:I always just go and buy seeds when I want to plant something. You can get a pack of seeds for like $1.

I know you can grow potatoes by planting ( I think ) the actual potato after it has grown "eyes" on it.

If you have birds or feed wild birds...plant the left over seed that they don't eat, you would be surprised at what comes up. My mom has two birds and when she changes thier seed, she just throws it in the field next to her house and she gets all kinds of unknown stuff growing there.

Sorry I couldn't be much help, I'm not much of a gardener.
