Weird flower, what is it? White with purple tips, 6 points, like a lily, hollow dark wine colored stem. 6/8 ft

Large leaves, grow larger as the plant grows. Has 4 bracts of seeds under flower and spreads 50 to 100 seeds or more per bracht. Do I keep it or kill it? Growing in horse pasture.

Maybe jimson weed, although that usually is a vine. Could be an angel's trumpet (datura). I wouldn't kill it until I found out what it is because it may be something useful for your environment. However, if it's spreading like crazy, selectively remove some.

Take a sample of the plant to a local, family-owned nursery. The big box employees generally don't know too much about plants.

Or maybe there's a gardening society. Always the library, google images, and county horticultural/agricultural agent.
Reply:Could it be an Iris?? Look it up and see if it looks like it.
Reply:Sounds like an invasive weed of some king, I'd get rid of the things before it takes over the entire pasture.
