Allergies are immune responses to something that gets into the body as a rule, not something that casually brushed by the surface. Contact dermatitis is generally caused by a chemical irritation, like when you touch poison ivy. Your skin is chemically irritated, not allergic. There's nothing on the tree or leaves that chemically irritates your skin, and it isn't getting into you. So you form no allergic response, because none is needed. However, you wouldn't want to chew on the tree or leaves/flowers. Then you would have problems. It works the same way with people with seasonal allergies. They may be allergic to pine pollen, but not the pine tree at Christmas. And they can clean the entire house with Pinesol without a problem.
Reply:yes. visit an allergist for a full work up and treatment.
