Saved nasturtium seeds?

I planted some nasturtiums last year from a seed packet labelled 'dwarf trailing mixed'. The flowers were a whole bunch of different colours but one plant in particular was really spectacular, and I saved loads of its seeds to plant this year.

But will these seeds grow flowers the same colour as the 'parent' plant??

Saved nasturtium seeds?
Since the original package said "mixed", the colour of the flowers you will have coming season is very much left to chance. But they will be mixed again, with its natural colours yellow/orange dominating.

Hope you kept the seeds cool+dry+dark (I keep mine in the normal fridge), then there is hardly anything that can go wrong.

Make sure you seed then after any possible danger of frost, and directly into the soil, which should not be too rich (you want flowers, not large leaves, right?)

The variety you have is especially suitable for window boxes.
Reply:Some will but they were pollinated by different plants in your garden and will most likely be mixed colors.
Reply:Should be! I grow nasturtium every year from collected seed. They are delicious in salads (just eat the baby leaves, the bigger ones are too peppery in my opinion)
