The flowering plants enclose their seeds in fruits. How is this an advantage to plants?

The fruit provides nourishment for the seed to grow.



Some fruits and berries are eaten by animals and/or birds. The seeds are passed spread to other locations were they may or may not grow. In this manner plants spread to grow in many areas rather than just one.
