Basil and coriander (also called cilantro) grows quickly and will produce seed. Both will stay in a fairly small pot and grow vertically. Then you can cook with them, so bring the teacher a great dinner. I have no idea what methi is.

Spinach is a pain to grow in a pot and won't last two months. I have never seen anything but leaves on a spinach plant.

Peas like to grow up and all over the groooooound. You can't grow them in a pot, unless it is a very big one with a trellis, and even then they don't last very long.
Reply:well the easierst i know is to plant beans or either spinach i remeber because i did it during 5th grade and the beans grew really fast like in a week there was leaves coming out already
Reply:Why not use simple things like beans or peas?
Reply:vegetables such as peas, bean or even radishes will grow from seed, and produce seed after they flower which will be in about two months
Reply:spinach
