What floral bulb will fit in a 2x2x2 box?

My daughter is getting married, and purchased favor boxes that are 2x2x2. We were going to fill them with candy covered almonds, but now she wants to put flower bulbs in the boxes. What bulbs, or flower seeds, would fit in a box this size?

Reply:Do you want the bulbs to be in bloom/use the boxes as pots, or do you mean just to have loose bulbs in the box? If loose, any fall bulbs (planted in the fall) would be perfect. Since they're out of season now, you should be able to find them for pretty cheap. Then your wedding guests can plant them in the fall. Grape hyacinth bulbs are pretty tiny, so you could even fit a few in the box. Daffodil, crocus, hyacinth, etc are all small enough to fit. They should be planted in the fall and will come up in the spring.
