So, grass neither has a fruit nor a flower. So where does grass seed come from then ?

if you dont mow your grass it will put out slender stalks with tiny flowers on the ends...once these heads mature they go to seed..that is where grass seed comes from

just let a small 6" x6" area grown and as it gets taller and matures you will see this happening..it just depends on the type of grass you have as to how long it takes but alot of it take 2 mos or so....also grass can spread by root..as the roots grow new shoots will sprout

grass if allowed to mature will produce seed, depending on the verity it may have to grow to it's own specific height.cutting it does not allow it to go to seed to propagate
Reply:its just so small you dont see them.

and the seeds come at the end of the stems amd look like miniature grain,it is the same family
Reply:Of course grass has flowers..they are tiny. Grass falls into the Grain family. And it does bloom.
Reply:Grass does fruit, otherwise there would be no seed. Grass, if it grows to a certain maturity, does flower. It's just not a colorful flower. Much reproduction in grasses is through shoots, not flowering.
