I'm looking for a climbing plant to grow from seeds to plant in a obelisk.?

I reciently got a couple of obelisks and can't think of any climbers to plant in it except for Morning Glories. The criteria is that it has to grow from seed, be nontoxic because I have pets and young kids. It also has to flower in the season planted.Any ideas?

If you want an herbaceous plant (one that dies when it frosts) go with Nasturtium, If you want a woody vine go with Clematis (but it too will die back when it frosts), There is an evergreen clemantis but I don't think you can start it from seed. Bougainvillea might work, or Wisteria if you are planning on taking care of it. Mandevilla, Hummingbird vine, Black Eyed Susan vine, and of course there are numerous others.
Reply:I've got the perfect thing...Nasturtium, it's a climber, it grows in shade OR sun, AND the flowers and leaves are edible, usually put in salads!! :)
Reply:Theres climbing roses. Also theres Clematis (spring bloomer).
Reply:Trumpet Vine...you can grow that as easy from seeds as Morning Glories...
