Directly from your oregano and basil plant? Are the seeds in the flower buds or something?

Seed companies uses a small lace bag looking thing they tie over the flower once it begins to wilt. This is left on until the plant drops the seeds into the bag and collected.
Reply:You'd have to wait for the seed pods to ripen and collect them. It would be easier to grow both from cuttings, just take a snip with a few leaves and root them in either a cup of water or in moist potting mix.
Reply:don't try to seed them. break off a piece and root it.
