Hi, I recently saw some amazing flower bushes and would like to have some. I think they are peonies as I saw some at a fair this weekend. I need to know if these can be grown from seed?? When would I have to start them? How many diff, varieties and colors are there?? How long do they take to germinate?

They grow from tubers ... seed takes years to get to flowering size.

I have never heard of growing them from seed.
I've bought mine at the nursery or transplanted from other gardens. Trim them back to the ground in fall when the foliage fades. Plant in full sun for the most showy blooms.
